Riddle Me This
I'm not really more than holes tied to more holes; I'm strong as good steel, though not as stiff as a pole. What am I?

Celebrity Spotlight
Rodney Atkins’ “Take a Back Road” is spending its second week at No. 1. While the singer is happy with the success, achieving his sixth No. 1 record has really made him reflect on what it takes to get there. “You really realize after, after, a while just how much work: how many people; how…the stars in alignment; divine intervention; luck; it just, the fact that you get the song when you get it at that certain point of time; and all the, all the folks. And I’m knocked out, I really can’t express the way it makes you feel and I’m more in awe than I’ve ever been.” The tune is the title track of Rodney’s fourth studio album, which hits stores October 4th.

HOMETOWN HERO’S
Simply put, Hometown Hero’s are people who help others in some way.
Our Hometown Hero(’s) Today is/are Edward Wilson
My dad had two triple bypass heart surgeries and with the first one he only had 1% of survival rate, he had a stroke, and he fought two types of cancers for four years when he was given 6 months to live... he raised his family to know the true meaning of family, he was stern but loving there is nothing he wouldn't do for his family and for strangers too. If you were in need he would stop and help you. If you didn't have a place to live or plate of food to eat he would give it to you. He lived for us because he had the desire to live until he couldn't anymore. He is forever my hero and I am proud to say I am my fathers daughter... miss you daddy...

MAN CAVE
Mike Napoli talked to his fly ball while it sailed down the left-field line at Angel Stadium, quietly coaxing it into the stands on the right side of the pole.
Napoli got the last word on his former club, and on a landmark regular season for his new teammates.
After posting the best record in franchise history, the Texas Rangers are roaring back into the postseason for another chance to win it all - and thanks to Napoli's pleas, they'll start the quest at home.
Napoli broke a tie in the ninth inning with his fourth homer in two games, and the Texas Rangers finally clinched home-field advantage in the AL division series with a 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday night.
E-Mail “Inbox”
Hello Don, My boyfriend and I moved in together. He discovered recently he has a gluten allergy and has become a gluten Nazi. He asked that we not have any food with gluten in the house.
That means no bread. NO BEER.
Is it fair to ask your significant other not to have the food everyone else in the world eats in your house?
He argues that it’s not his choice that he has a food allergy. Does his allergy to gluten mean I have to pretend I’m allergic to gluten?
Signed,
Gina
Gina, that’s a tough one. I don’t condone live in arrangements between two people not married, and since you’re not married maybe you’ve run across something that makes you incompatible. So if your boyfriend is avid, and you don’t want to give up some things you love for him, then it sounds like you have some hard decisions to make. Read up on the subject and maybe find a compromise.
Good Luck
HEALTH MOMENT
For years, men with enlarged prostate glands have turned to a supplement called saw palmetto to ease their trouble with urination and other symptoms.
Exactly how saw palmetto was thought to relieve the symptoms is unclear, but the fruit of saw palmetto dwarf palm tree remains widely used.
Now, a new study shows that this popular remedy is no more effective than a placebo or dummy pill at relieving these symptoms -- even in high doses.
The study is published in The Journal of the American Medical Association.

BREAK TIME CHATTER
Think about THIS the next time you post your location on Facebook. A new survey of BURGLARS . . . yes, they somehow surveyed burglars . . . found that 78% use social media to scout for homes to rob. When people check-in out of the home, burglars know the house is empty. The survey also found 74% use Google Maps to help plan their break-in . . . and the average burglar takes $762 worth of stuff in 10 minutes.
I think everything that needs to be said has been said here!
And I leave you with this thought…
"We may affirm absolutely that nothing great in the world has been accomplished without passion."
