Celebrity Spotlight

Keith Urban gave a group of VIPs a sneak peek at his upcoming Get Closer tour during rehearsals on Thursday in Nashville. When he planned out the dates for his summer shows, Keith worked hard to make sure he could balance work and time with his wife, Nicole Kidman and their two little girls. “When I put this tour together I just structured it so that um, I’m only gone maybe two or three days…maybe four days, sometimes I do four shows in a row. Then I go home for a day or two or three. So, I’m in and out. I don’t go out for weeks and weeks at a time. When we do Canada and we do three weeks, I’ll bring the girls up to some of that run.” Catch up with Keith on the Get Closer tour kicking off June 16th in Biloxi, Mississippi.

RIDDLE ME THIS

You were sent out to space in search of life on your own. You land on a planet where there live 246 male aliens, 371 female aliens. How many aliens in total are there?

One, why? You're the alien. If you visit another planet and find life never seen before, they're going to assume you're the alien because this is their planet.

Our Hometown Hero(’s) Today is/are Julie Loveland
My hero, Julie, was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of nine. Shortly after, her mother died of AIDS. Julie grew up jumping between living with her father and her older half-brother and his girlfriend. Julie also grew up as "the younger sister", always being left out. Seems like a bad life, huh? Nope! Now she has learned to live with diabetes, still misses her mother dearly, but now has an amazing husband and family. Her half-brother went on to marry his girlfriend and Julie was given two awesome nieces. I'm the oldest niece, and I love Julie with all my heart.

HEALTH MOMENT

Children who live in homes with visible mold problems have a heightened risk of suffering from asthma and allergies, a new research review finds.
Researchers found that across 61 international studies since the 1990s, children living in water-damaged, moldy homes were more likely to have asthma, wheezing problems or nasal allergies than their peers.
The findings do not prove that mold is the culprit, according to the study's lead researcher.
However, lab research has suggested that exposure to mold and airborne mold spores can create inflammation in the airways. These latest findings underscore the importance of not only getting rid of visible mold, but also preventing it in the first place.
People often believe that mold is bad news for their lung health, and many studies have supported that idea. But some recent studies have linked certain proteins in mold "components" in the home to a lower risk of asthma and allergies in children. Those components are particular fungus cells that can mix in with house dust.
Visible mold patches at the walls, or a moldy odor, is indicating that the normal microbial composition is out of kilter, which is most often due to dampness, excessive moisture or building damages.According to one theory -- the "hygiene hypothesis" -- living with the normal mix of microbes helps young children's immune systems develop in a way that makes allergic reactions less likely.
Getting rid of visible mold "might be a first important step in order to create a healthy environment at home. But, the reasons for the mold problem have to be addressed too. That means steps like repairing leaky plumbing or other sources of water damage, and lowering humidity in the home with better ventilation.

BREAK TIME CHATTER

#1.) Here's a reminder of just how DANGEROUS Facebook and Twitter can be. In a new survey, 35% of Americans say they've posted something online that they regret. And of that group, 3% say what they posted ruined their relationship or marriage.

#2.) BILL GATES' kids should be FURIOUS. According to his latest interview, Gates plans on leaving his three kids an inheritance of . . . $10 MILLION each. Because, he says, leaving them billions wouldn't be good for them. Gates is worth $56 BILLION now and has given $28 BILLION to charity.

#3.) We're pretty good about turning off electronics when a plane's taking off and landing, even though no one really believes that their iPod could make a plane go down. Well . . . it actually MIGHT. A new study found that even ONE electronic device could cause enough interference to make a plane go down. It would take a perfect storm of factors . . . but it IS possible.

And I leave you with this thought…

"Listen to your heart. It knows things, because it came from the Soul of the World, and it will one day return there."
