HOMETOWN HERO’S
Simply put, Hometown Hero’s are people who help others in some way.
Our Hometown Hero(’s) Today is/are Janci Armstrong.
My hero is my 17 year-old niece. I am 42 years old. I was not able to have children, so she is a very prominent person in my life, as my sister has allowed me to be a part of their lives and witness Janci's life. Janci is the person that I wish I had become. At a young age she portrayed grace, sincerity, and accomplishment. She is the girl in school that chooses to be friends with everyone, leaving no one excluded. She is compassionate and loving and removes herself from groups of children who gossip about others. She takes her time during the week and weekends to be involved with charity organizations. She is the child that helps children in school with physical challenges. She is 17 years old, a senior in high school and has never received anything less than an A on her report card. She is determined, loving and the most compassionate person that I have ever known. I cannot be 17 years old again, but I have returned to college to complete my degree and although I did not achieve straight A's in school, I am now a college student with a 3.9 GPA. She has inspired me as a middle-aged woman to be the best that I can be! I am so very grateful that I am able to be a part of her life and watch her develop into a beautiful woman. Janci is my Hero!!!

MAN CAVE
Tony Romo had no choice. He had to play, broken rib and all.
His new bride wouldn't have tolerated anything less.
"She said, `Are you kidding? You're playing. I can't have a weak husband lying around the house here,"' Romo said - smiling and wincing after leading the Dallas Cowboys to an 18-16 victory over the Washington Redskins on Monday night.
Romo had a mostly forgettable night except for the fact Dallas won.
He was hurting so much he needed two pain-killing injections. His center had a tendency to snap the ball too soon or to the wrong spot. And he couldn't get into the end zone no matter what, not even with a first down on the 2-yard line.
Yet he set up Dan Bailey for six field goal tries, and the rookie made them all, including a go-ahead 40-yarder with 1:52 left.

Morning Don, my name is Tammy and I was wondering if you could answer a guy question for me. To make a long story short my boyfriend and I got into a fight this weekend after he admitted to me that he urinates in my shower while he’s showering.
He said that all guy’s pee in the shower which may be true but I didn’t think they’d admit this. Is it true, do all guys pee in the shower and if so how do I get him to stop?
Signed,
Tammy
Yes Tammy, all guy’s pee in the shower, not while taking a bath mind you, only when showering, and no, you can’t make us stop. That is of course unless you turn into the shower Gestapo! I’m confused though, what’s the problem?
HEALTH MOMENT
Shocking news!
Hair loss may not just be a matter of age or unlucky genes.
Preliminary findings from new studies of male and female identical twins suggest that a broad range of lifestyle factors, including stress, smoking, heavy drinking, and sun exposure, may also foil the follicles.
That appeared to be especially true for women. One study found that wives who lost a spouse to death or divorce were at highest risk of hair loss at the midline, which leads to a widening part.
In men, genes seemed to be the biggest predictor of balding, though smoking, drinking, stress, and sun exposure also factored in.
Although that may sound discouraging, experts say the research comes with a silver lining: Adopting healthier habits and controlling stress can sometimes help hair come back.
“Part of it is to manage what you can,” says Doris Day, MD, a dermatologist at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City who was not involved in the research. “The sooner you address it, the better your chances of having recovery.”
WHAT’S FOR DINNER
Lasagna Roll Ups Ingredients
Ingredients
• 1 (16 ounce) package uncooked lasagna noodles
• 1 pound mozzarella cheese, shredded
• 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
• 1 pound firm tofu
• 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach - thawed, drained and squeezed dry
• 2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
• 1 (28 ounce) jar pasta sauce
Directions
1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook lasagna noodles for 5 to 8 minutes, or until just slightly underdone; drain and rinse.
2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together grated cheese, ricotta cheese, tofu, frozen spinach, and 1 cup Parmesan cheese.
3. Lay out a noodle. Spread a layer of the cheese mixture on the noodle, then add a thin layer of sauce. Roll the noodle up, and place seam side down in a 13x9 pan. Repeat for other noodles. Top with remaining sauce and Parmesan cheese.
4. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F (175 degree C) oven for 30 min, or until hot and bubbly.
BREAK TIME CHATTER
I love this idea out of a small town in Turkey. They've put MOTION SENSORS inside their town morgue that can detect even a slight bit of movement. That way, if someone was pronounced dead but wakes up in the morgue, the sensors will go off and someone can rescue them. It's also early detection in case of a zombie uprising, which I like as well.
And I leave you with this thought…
"I have learned this at least by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavours to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours."
