CELEBRITY GOSSIP

Jennifer Love Hewitt has yet another new TV show. EW.com reported that the former Ghost Whisperer star will act in and executive produce The Client List -- a series based on the network's original movie of the same name that aired last year. Jennifer stars as a financially-strapped Texas housewife who runs a "lively day spa" after she's abandoned by her husband. The show is set to premiere next year.

Bewitched might be headed back to television. CBS has ordered a script for a potential remake of the sitcom, which ran from 1964 to 1972 and starred Elizabeth Montgomery as Samantha, a witch who marries a mortal and attempts to become a typical housewife. The show was adapted into a 2005 film that starred Will Ferrell and Nicole Kidman.

ON THIS DAY IN COUNTRY

Vince Gill's The Key album was released in 1998.

Eddie Rabbitt's "Suspicions" reigned at Number One on the Billboard country chart in 1979.

Blake Shelton scored his first Number One single with "Austin" in 2001.

Celebrity Spotlight

Lady Antebellum celebrates their 5th #1 this week as “Just a Kiss” tops Billboard’s Country Singles chart. The group’s Charles Kelley says the song’s popularity helps put the trio in a good place before the new album is released. “It definitely took a lot of the pressure off…you know, of…of this third record, kinda goin’ into it, you know the nerves…after having the first single come out and have, have some great success.” Lady A’s Own the Night is scheduled for release on September 13th and Charles added that they’re “even more excited” now for release date to come.
• TIDBIT: “Just a Kiss” is in its third week at #1 on the Billboard Canada Country chart.

Riddle Me This

If you were running a race, and you passed the person in 2nd place, what place would you be in now?

You would be in 2nd. You thought first place, huh? Well, you passed the guy in second place, not first.

E-Mail “Inbox”

Good morning Don my name is Cara and I listen to your show every morning. I’m wondering if I could get your opinion on a guy that emailed me from an online dating site I belong to so we can start talking.

The reason I’m not sure about the guy is because in his profile picture he’s holding a baby and a puppy and I’m wondering if you think he did that just to make him look sensitive and cute. Which by the way he does in the picture, but now I’m skeptical.

Should I be suspicious of a guy that has a picture like that in his dating profile or should I not look into it so much?

Signed,
Cara

Cara, I never take anything at face value, give it a whorl and find out the truth about the guy. He might turn out to be the guy of your dreams. Good luck, and thanks for listening.

MAN CAVE

The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to terms with former New York Giants wide receiver Steve Smith on a one-year deal Wednesday.
The 26-year-old Smith had 220 catches for 2,386 yards and 11 touchdowns in four seasons with the Giants. In his 2009 Pro Bowl season, he caught a franchise-record 107 passes for 1,220 yards and seven touchdowns.

Sideshows abound at the 93rd PGA Championship at Atlanta Athletic Club, from the heat to the plush, carpet-like fairways to the killer final four holes, where simply maintaining one's position will be enough to thrive.

Woods is trying to show that he's still capable of being a one-man dynasty, the same guy who held the game by the throat from 1997 to 2009. He has been far from his best lately, but at least he could walk without pain while finishing tied for 37th at the Bridgestone. That's more than he's been able to say since April, when he tied for fourth at the Masters.

HEALTH MOMENT

According to two new studies, smokers who take their first puffs soon after they wake up in the morning may be at greater risk of developing lung cancer and head and neck cancer than smokers who wait to have their first cigarette of the day.
The results of these studies, published in the American Cancer’s Society's journal Cancer, may help identify smokers who have a particularly high risk of developing cancer and who would benefit from targeted intervention to reduce this risk.
To quit smoking is hard to do, I know I’m a former smoker. But if you can, quit for the sake of your family and yourself.

BREAK TIME CHATTER

#1.) In a new survey, 75% of people say that when they leave a job these days, they HATE it and would never recommend the place to anyone. That's almost double the percentage who said that before the economy went down in 2008. The reason for this is that we now stay at jobs that make us unhappy for longer because we're afraid there's not another job if we leave . . . and that makes us more bitter.

#2.) In a new poll asking people for their earliest childhood memory, the most common theme is . . . PAIN AND TORTURE. 35% of people said a trip to the DENTIST is the first thing they remember. The rest of the top five are birthday party, vacation, first day of school, and a trip to the doctor. The average age of people's first memories was 4.3 years old.

#3.) Let's break down some gender stereotypes. In a new survey, only 1% of women say that COLOR is the most important reason to buy a car. The main reason is safety . . . then good mileage . . . style . . . good for the environment . . . and power. Color came in last place.
For Guy’s, we look to see if girls will get in the car!

And I leave you with this thought…

When faced with a challenge, look for a way, not a way out.
