Celebrity Spotlight
Sunny Sweeney is prepping for the release of her second album, Concrete. The project includes her Top-10 song, “From a Table Away,” and her current single, “Staying’s Worse Than Leaving.” While the album has no direct reference to the word, ‘Concrete,’ Sunny says the meaning is there. "I wanted one word…and I wanted it to sound tough. You know, the content of some of the songs is…pretty heavy. So I wanted it to kind of encompass all that.” The album is available August 23rd.
Riddle Me This
There once was a woman looking out of the window of a skyscraper, enjoying the view.
She leaned against the glass pane and it popped out. She, along with the window pane, fell out of the 100 story building and hit the sidewalk.
With nothing to slow her fall or cushion her landing, she managed to walk away with only a few scratches.
How was this possible?
She was on the first floor.

Hello Don,
Your show is great, I listen every morning. I needed some advice so who better to turn to? So last night I went to my FiancĂ©’s parents’ house for his sister’s wedding rehearsal dinner party. It was nothing fancy, just a very casual back yard barbeque with lots of food, booze and music. An absolute awesome time! His whole family was there and his sister even asked me to read something at the wedding tomorrow! I was so honored and exited to be accepted into the family! Well, flash forward 3 hours and 7 margaritas later and apparently I jumped up on the table lip singing to Lady Ga Ga and I took my top off in front of everyone! Now I have to see all these people in church today! What do I do?
Eva
Stay away from the church wine and try to keep those bad girls under wraps!
MAN CAVE
The NFL is adding game-day testing for performance-enhancing substances - but not recreational drugs - this season under the new collective bargaining agreement.
The league's senior vice president of law and labor policy, said Tuesday on a conference call with reporters that tests weren't conducted in the past on days there were games "because of logistical issues involved, much more so than any philosophical issues."
Joe Paterno was released from the hospital Tuesday, two days after getting blindsided at Penn State practice by a player and injuring his right shoulder and pelvis.
The school said in a statement the 84-year-old coach was looking forward to returning to practice Wednesday.
HEALTH MOMENT
If you suffer from Parkinson’s or know someone who does, this will be helpful.
A new study shows that Parkinson’s disease patients treated with deep brain stimulation can expect the technology to control symptoms like tremors for a decade or longer, while other improvements, such as those in speech and balance, may lessen over time.
Deep brain stimulation uses a battery operated device similar to a pacemaker to deliver electrical impulses that stimulate areas of the brain that control movement.
The impulses are thought to block abnormal signals that cause many of the debilitating symptoms of Parkinson’s, like tremors, slowness, stiffness, and difficulty with speech.
The procedure, which has been used for over a decade, is typically offered to patients when medications no longer help.
The surgery costs between $30,000 and $50,000 but is usually covered by insurance.

BREAK TIME CHATTER
#1.) Counting sheep to try to fall asleep is OUT. And, ya know, it never really worked anyway. In a new survey, the majority of people said they most like to fall asleep to BIRDS and RAINFOREST noises. Only 10% say they even bother trying to count sheep.
#2.) According to a study by a UCLA psychology professor, pre-teens used to watch TV shows that taught them values about community, benevolence, and self-acceptance. Shows like "The Andy Griffith Show", "Happy Days", and "Boy Meets World". But today's nine-to-11-year-olds watch shows like "Hannah Montana" and "American Idol", where they learn that the most important value is being famous.
#3.) The FBI just released their first iPhone app. Hopefully you'll never have to use it . . . but you just might be paranoid and nervous enough to download it. It's called Child ID and it lets you fill in all of your child's vital info and photos. Then if, God forbid, you ever have to report him missing, you can send all that info instantly right from the app.
Finally, the federal government got something right!
And I leave you with this thought…
"Love the world as your own self; then you can truly care for all things. "
