Celebrity Spotlight
Randy Montana’s self-titled debut hits stores today, including the single, “1,000 Faces.” Randy worked with producer Jay Joyce on this album and he says fate brought them together. (Audio) “Before I really knew much about Jay, he asked me, he’s like, ‘Man, if you could have an album sound like anything what would it sound like?’ And I said, ‘Man, I’d have it sound like that Bringing Down the Horses…the Wallflowers album.’ And he goes, ‘Oh, cool! I played guitar on that.’ And so, it was just kinda like, ‘Bingo!’” Jay also produced Eric Church’s new album, Chief. Over the past year, Randy has toured with acts like Lady Antebellum, Sugarland and most recently, Taylor Swift.

HOMETOWN HERO’S
Simply put, Hometown Hero’s are people who help others in some way.
Our Hometown Hero(’s) Today is/are Brittany Gilley
I'm an 11 year girl and Britt is my babysitter. It sounds embarrassing but she cares a lot about me. When ever I'm sad she will help me, she teaches me stuff, and she always makes me laugh. One time at the pool I fell and she helped me up she loves me. I love her and I am going to miss her when she isn't here anymore.

E-Mail “In” Basket
Hey Don,
Last night I was hanging out with this guy I met last weekend and I noticed for the second time that he smelled like Mountain Fresh Fabreeze!
It’s not a bad smell but it made me think that he doesn’t ever clean his clothes. It’s like he just sniffs them off the floor and then sprays and puts them on.
Now I’m a little grossed out and don’t know if I can hang out with him again. Should I give it a third hang out and see what he smells like? Should I just ask him what’s up with the Fabreeze?
Signed,
Corinne
Connie, that really stinks, sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Sure, ask him what’ up. Better still, go to his house unannounced and take a look at his room, see how he keeps house. That should tell you everything you need to know.
Good luck and thanks for listening.
HEALTH MOMENT
Maybe you’ve been paying more for healthcare than you would like. Well, here is an idea to help reduce those cost.
Non-drug-related health care costs have been reduced for elderly patients who gained better prescription drug coverage under Medicare Part D, according to a new study.
Researchers found non-drug health care costs have decreased by nearly 4%, or an average of about $306 per quarter, among elderly Medicare beneficiaries who had limited drug coverage prior to implementation of Medicare Part D in January 2006 and now receive more generous prescription drug benefits through the government program.
Most of those health care cost savings were thanks to reduced inpatient and skilled nursing facility care spending, but reductions in costs were also seen in doctor visits.
The study is published in The Journal of the American Medical Association.
"The economic and clinical benefits suggested by these reductions may be enhanced by further expansions in prescription drug coverage for seniors, improvements in benefit designs for drug-sensitive conditions, and policies that integrate Medicare payment and delivery systems across drug and nondrug services," write the researchers.

BREAK TIME CHATTER
#1.) AskMen.com surveyed more than 70,000 men about dating and sexuality are some of the findings: Men much prefer a loyal woman to a smart woman . . . 72% of men say they'd never cheat . . . a surprisingly-high and ignorant 47% would dump someone if she got too chubby . . . and only 7% have an issue being with a woman who makes more money than them.
#2.) In a new survey, 54% of people say that when they go on a diet, they usually fail in less than ONE WEEK. The five main reasons, in order, are: No willpower . . . they don't see immediate changes . . . diet food is boring . . . no support from others . . . and the diet interferes with their social life.
#3.) In South Korea earlier this month, a 39-story skyscraper was evacuated when it started VIOLENTLY SHAKING for 10 minutes. After two days of being empty, architects figured out it was being shaken by . . . 23 people in a Tae-Bo class working out to "The Power" by Snap. Somehow, the vibrations they were making hit a certain frequency that caused the building to shake. WOW, SOUNDS LIKE A BIG SHAKE-UP!
And I leave you with this thought…
"Words are just words and without heart they have no meaning."
