Celebrity Spotlight

Everyone knows Brad Paisley is the king of pranks on his tours. He loves the games and the retaliations, but his current tourmate, Blake Shelton, says he doesn't get too caught up in the elaborate jokes. "I don't plan things like that, you know? I know he's constantly up to something. We were in Cleveland and I looked up on the big screen at some point and there was a picture with my head on it of a guy with like one of those banana hammocks with big man boobs hangin' out -- classic Brad Paisley thinkin', you know?"
Blake says he'd rather take his shots as they present themselves, namely every night on stage. "My thing is, we actually cut a song together that's on his record and I come out and perform it with him every night, and I just hump on his legs and things like that. I just try to make him as uncomfortable as I possibly can -- try to kiss him and put my finger in his nose and stuff while he's tryin' to play a guitar solo. I feel like that's good enough, you know?"

Guys are any of you vegetarians? If so can you tell me where I should bring my vegetarian date for dinner because I’m freaking out! We met online and after talking on the phone she told me that she’s a vegetarian, so now I’m panicking and it’s only our first date.

Where’ should I take her, or is there always something on the menu for a vegetarian? I’m a big meat eater; will that end up dooming our chance at a relationship?

Signed,
Buddy

Well Buddy, you might try Olive Garden, they have an all you can eat salad. Or try havin salad at your house. You can’t screw-up salad too bad.

HEALTH MOMENT

All protein may not be created equal when it comes to weight loss.
Whey, or milk, protein may offer people who want to slim down a slight edge over soy, a new study shows.
Researchers at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Human Nutrition Research Center randomly assigned 90 overweight and obese middle-aged adults to one of three groups. The first group was asked to add protein drinks made with whey to their normal diets, the second group drank protein drinks made with soy protein, and the third group drank carbohydrate drinks.
Study participants weren't told which group they had been assigned to. All the drinks, which were drunk twice daily, at breakfast and dinner, had the same number of calories: 200. They also all had had 52 grams per packet, for a daily total of 104 grams of added protein or carbs.
Researchers tracked participants' physical activity levels, weights, waist sizes, lean and fat body mass, and blood levels of hormones related to hunger and metabolism.
They also had people keep records of the other foods they were eating. The researchers made sure participants were drinking the shakes during random urine tests for levels of a chemical tracer they had added to the powders.

BREAK TIME CHATTER

#1.) The whole bullying awareness thing has been going full steam for a while now, but don't forget about 'cyberbullying'. According to a new study, one in six parents say their child has been the victim of cyberbullying, which just means teasing or harassing someone online. Like physical bullying, it can cause lasting emotional damage, but unlike physical bullying, it's actually harder to escape.

#2.) An unnamed officer in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is our Dirt-Bag of the Day. An expecting dad was speeding his wife to the hospital for an emergency C-section when they were pulled over. Instead of giving them a police escort, the officer wrote them a $1,000 ticket . . . then radioed ahead so another cop would be waiting for them down the road. The dad now has two tickets and a suspended license, but he also has a healthy baby daughter, so it's all good.

#3.) A county fair demolition derby winner was arrested for driving drunk during the competition. David Warner stumbled after leaving his car to pick up his trophy, then refused a breathalyzer test. He later admitted he'd had about eight Bud Lights before the competition to loosen up, but that didn't mean he was drunk.

And I leave you with this thought…

You're never too old to become younger.
