Celebrity Spotlight
Ashton Shepherd’s new album, Where Country Grows is out in stores today and the album’s title track is her latest single. Rolling Stone gives her project “four stars” and names Ashton as an “artist to watch.” For fans that enjoyed her sassy single, “Look It Up,” Ashton says her new CD won’t stray far from her original sound, even though she co-wrote with more songwriters on this project. (Audio) “Every writing session is something very spontaneous and great comin’ from it and that’s how we’ve made this record and we’ve still got, right now, there’s three one-hundred percent songs I wrote by myself that’s still on the record. You know, there’s still the Ashton Shepherd one-hundred percents on there but we’ve also got a few outside songs and we’ve got co-writes too. So, it’s kind of a mixture.” This is Ashton’s first album since her 2008 release, Sounds So Good.

My grandparents are my heroes and a lot of other kids'. My grandparents are foster parents and they have had more then 50 kids! They are my heroes because they gave a chance to these kids and they gave these kids homes. All foster parents are heroes, they save children’s lives. They made a difference in one of their foster kids, Sakira, they gave her something she never had.

CELEBRITY GOSSIP
RENEE ZELLWEGER DATING JOHN STAMOS? Renee Zellweger may be rebounding from Bradley Cooper with . . . John Stamos. Us Weekly reported that the pair went to Disneyland together on Monday. A witness said the two actors "were having a great time laughing and dancing as they walked from one ride to another." Although sources say that Renee, 42, and John, 47, were trying to stay under the radar -- they happily obliged when a fan recognized them and asked for a picture.

Scott Moore's YouTube invitation was brought up during an interview earlier this week, at which time Mila accepted. DANIEL BALDWIN FILES FOR DIVORCE: Daniel Baldwin is getting divorced. The move comes just a day after he got a temporary restraining order against his wife, Joanne. Daniel told TMZ.com, "Due to recent events in our home and for the safety of my children and myself, I have made this decision. HEALTH MOMENT
There may be an upside to contact skin allergies.
New research suggests that people who develop itchy rashes when their skin comes into contact with certain metals or chemicals have a lower risk for certain cancers.
Investigators say the findings support the idea that allergies may trigger the immune system to kill cancer cells before they do damage -- a theory known as the immunosurveillance hypothesis.
Contact allergies are delayed reactions to metals like nickel or cobalt or to chemicals, such as those found in plants such as poison ivy and poison oak, perfumes, and hair dyes.
Earlier research suggests that people who suffer from other types of allergies may have a lower risk for certain cancers, but the new study is among the first to look specifically at contact skin allergies.
The findings do not prove that contact allergies have a direct impact on cancer risk, but they do suggest an association

BREAK TIME CHATTER
#1.) A restaurant owner in Pennsylvania is a hero to some people today . . . and an ENEMY of some parents. As of Saturday, he has BANNED all children under six from his restaurant because, quote, "their volume can't be controlled." That ban IS legal . . . children aren't protected under the law like senior citizens.
#2.) The California State Fair starts tomorrow, and like many state fairs, a ridiculous new food is debuting there. And it sounds HORRIBLE. The fair will feature a MAGGOT MELT . . . which is a grilled cheese sandwich jammed with DRIED MAGGOTS. That are deep-fried. The fair will also feature deep-fried SCORPIONS and cooked RACCOON MEAT on a stick.
#3.) When DEREK JETER got his 3,000th career hit last Saturday, it was a home run. And the fan who caught it gave it back to Jeter, so the Yankees gave him a luxury suite for the season and memorabilia worth over $32,000. But . . . the IRS knows about it, so now he's on the hook for up to $13,000 in taxes. THAT”S WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS!!!!
And I leave you with this thought…
"A loving heart is the truest wisdom."
