Celebrity Spotlight
As Chris Young tours the country this summer in support of his forthcoming album Neon, he’ll be face-to-face with a lot of fans and signing a lot of autographs. So, what’s the craziest thing he’s ever been asked to sign? You might be surprised to hear his answer. “Weirdest thing I’ve ever signed…I actually had a lady get me to sign a pack of Depends for her husband’s 75th birthday. That probably is the weirdest at this point.” Catch Chris on the road with Jason Aldean on select dates through the summer. Neon is set for release on July 12th!

Our Hometown Hero(’s) Today is/are Pat Wiguelys
When I was in high school I was running with a bad crowd. I took 'Adventure Class' for PE (because I heard it was easy). Pat was my teacher and she inspired me in so many ways over the last 3 semesters I was in school. We did things on the ropes course and she pushed me to excel, she gave me strength and confidence in myself. At the end of class she gave me an amazing gift- it was a journal that was filled with notes from various classmates each telling me how important I had been to them and how much I had made a difference. She inspired me to do greater things. Right after high school I quit using drugs and started college. I have been clean ever since (11 years on March 26!). I went back to my school to try to let her know what she had done for me but she had retired and I had no way to find her. But Pat- You were an amazing influence in my life, THANK YOU!!!!

HEALTH MOMENT
A new way of testing for signs of Alzheimer's disease in spinal fluid may help more accurately identify which people with mild memory deficits will progress to full-blown dementia, researchers reported.
The findings, released in the journal Neurology, are part of a push to find new ways to diagnose Alzheimer's early, before the disease causes too much harm.
Being able to identify who will develop Alzheimer's disease very early in the process will be crucial in the future. Once we have treatments that could prevent Alzheimer's disease, we could begin to treat very early and hopefully prevent the loss of memory and thinking skills that occurs with this devastating disease.
While the study is very early, Researchers said tests like this will be needed as companies try to develop treatments for Alzheimer's that can keep the disease from progressing.
Some 26 million people have Alzheimer's, a fatal disease that is the most common form of dementia. Current drugs only help symptoms, but no drug can arrest Alzheimer's, which costs $604 billion a year to treat.
BREAK TIME CHATTER
#1.) In a natural disaster, how would you try to communicate first: A phone call, a text, or updating your Facebook status? Turns out phone calls and social media are NECK-AND-NECK. 47% of people would try to call their loved ones . . . 45% would update their status or post a tweet . . . and only 8% would text, even though texting is probably the most reliable form of communication in a disaster.
#2.) Check out ten brands that might disappear next year, because of losses, rising costs, bankruptcy, or being sold: Sony Pictures . . . A&W . . . Saab . . . American Apparel . . . Sears . . . Sony Ericsson . . . Kellogg's Corn Pops . . . MySpace . . . Soap Opera Digest . . . and Nokia.
#3.) This one comes from an only sort-of reputable source, so take it for what it's worth. In Russia, a woman had a heart attack and doctors pronounced her dead. At her funeral, she was in an open casket . . . and WOKE UP. When she realized she was at her funeral, that triggered ANOTHER heart attack . . . and that one really DID kill her. The hospital is investigating. Oh My Gosh!!!
And I leave you with this thought…
"All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them."
