Luke Bryan’s rowdy party-anthem, “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)” has listeners running for the dance floor and even though the song encourages the country girls to get down and shake it, Luke says he and his band keep it classy. “I had enough people advising me not to make it like I originally planned—nah, I’m playing! I smiled the whole way through it and played it for my wife, and she was like ‘…it’s awesome!’ So I was like ‘got her approval!’, so that’s always good when you know you’re gonna have a bunch of girls shaking it a little bit.” You can see the brand new music video for “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)” at CMT and CMT.com.

Our Hometown Hero(’s) Today is/are Barbara Jean Vincent
Barbara Jean is my late sister, she was a people person, who worked at the first AIDS Hospice is S.F., she cared for every person regardless of their lifestyle, she never judged but accepted, helped and loved each man and later woman stricken with AIDS back in the 80's (and well into 2006). She was the life-force, her bright smile, her laughter, her wisdom, her affection, her courage, her strength, her correction and her giving nature helped hundreds of stricken men and women even when their own families refused to have anything to do with them, as they lay dying. Barbara Jean taught me how not to fear AIDS but to see each one afflicted with it as a human being and not as someone diseased and to love them. She passed away Aug. 27,2010 from pnuemonia. No one will ever be able to replace her.

HEALTH MOMENT
People who go to museums and concerts or create art or play an instrument are more satisfied with their lives, regardless of how educated or rich they are, according to a study released Tuesday. But the link between culture and feeling good about oneself is not quite the same in both sexes, according to the study, published in the British Medical Association's Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health.
For men, passive activities such as taking in a concert or museum exhibition are associated with an upbeat mood and better health. For women, though, the link is active, in that they were less likely to feel anxious, depressed or feel unwell if they played music or created art. The results indicate that the use of cultural activities in health promotion and health care may be justified.
Questions remain, though, about cause and effect: are people healthier and happier because they are cultured -- or do they seek out more culture because they feel good to begin with?
BREAK TIME CHATTER
#1.) According to a new study, traffic jams are WAY more stressful for men than women. In the study, women's stress levels jumped up to 8.7% in traffic . . . men's jumped up to 60%. A psychologist says this comes down to biological nature . . . men want to be able to confront a problem or run away, women are better at quickly figuring out how to cope.
#2.) Bad news if you've been getting in shape so you can do some SHIRTLESS ROLLERBLADING this summer. You might be the only one. In the past decade, the number of people using inline skates has dropped a ridiculous 64% . . . from 22 million people to less than eight million people.
#3.) This is a great look into the minds of all those other IDIOTS on the road. In a new Harris survey of more than 1,500 Americans, the number of people who said they're unsafe drivers is . . . ZERO. Not a single person would say they drive unsafely. But the average person said 90% of OTHER drivers are unsafe. I agree with that.
And I leave you with this thought…
"The greatest test of courage on the earth is to bear defeat without losing heart."
