Martina McBride’s “Teenage Daughters” reminds us that we were all young and crazy at one point in our lives and Martina even admits that she was somewhat rebellious in her teen years. “I was really into music and wanted to, wanted to travel and sing with a rock band and you know, I wanted to be just out there on my own and…I see that in my daughter…my sixteen-year old. She’s very mature and very uh, independent and I think would be just as happy living in her own apartment as in my house right now (laughs).” Martina reveals a behind-the-scenes look at the video shoot for “Teenage Daughters” on her website. She brought in the whole family, including her own teenage daughters for the video which is set for release on Monday.

Our Hometown Hero(’s) Today is/are Donna Lackland
It sounds like a cliche when you hear "my mom or my dad", but I can honestly say my mom is my hero! When she was only 18 she was in the hospital to give birth to me while my grandmother (her mother) was in another hospital 15 minutes away dying with Breast Cancer. My memaw was on the phone with her while she was giving birth to me. Two months later, she died at only 46. Twelve years later, my grandfather came to live with us so my mom could take care of him, for he was ill, she did this while she was going through a horrible divorce. Left alone with 3 daughters and no child support, my mom worked 3 jobs and took care of her ill father. She became sick herself, depression. She did everything in her power to make sure we were fed and properly taken care of. Today she is 40 years old and does not have 1 parent alive, but she never let anything take control over her. Anyone who mentions her always has amazing things to say about her. I'm now 21, and when I become a mom I can only pray I'm half the woman she is.

HEALTH MOMENT
An end to the agony of back pain may be in sight after British scientists invented a new gel that could fix the cause of the problem without the need for surgery.
The gel, administered through an injection, contains sponge-like particles that repair damaged spinal discs, which cushion the vertebrae.
The gel would produce results within days, and mean sufferers would not have to go through painful surgery followed by a lengthy recovery period.
Brian Saunders, who led the research at the University of Manchester, said of the particles, "When we inject them, they expand and push against each other like a boxful of balloons blowing up and pushing against each other."
The vast majority of people suffer from deterioration of the vertebrae once they turn 50, and the problem has been exacerbated in recent years as obesity levels rise.
BREAK TIME CHATTER
#1.) Some people might be TOO moral. In Utah, a man bought a home for his family and found $45,000 in the attic. The previous owner left it behind and no one knew it was there, since the previous owner died. And the man decided to do the right thing and give the money to the previous owner's children.
#2.) According to a new study, we all waste a FORTUNE on impulse buys. Researchers found that the average person spends $114,293 on impulse buys over the course of their lifetime with food, clothing, magazines, wine, and books as the top five purchases. The study also found that men actually spend more on impulse buys than women, $41 to $31.
#3.) Here's a new way to put our country's $14.3 TRILLION debt into perspective. According to a survey, the most money the average American has ever handled . . . either real or MONOPOLY money . . . is $15,140. Right now, our government borrows about three times that EVERY SECOND. The gift that just keeps takin and takin and takin.
And I leave you with this thought…
"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better."
