As Ronnie Dunn readies his self-titled solo debut on June 7th, he’s already enjoying what fans are saying about the lead-off single, “Bleed Red”. “I hear a lot of stuff…I get a lot of reaction on uh…Facebook and on the website. They uh, they come to us and tell me their experiences and different things. It’s great to hear that kind of stuff.” Ronnie wrote or co-wrote eight of the 12 songs on the project. Recently, he performed “Bleed Red” for Music Builds: The CMT Disaster Relief Concert. You can view that performance online now at CMT.com.

Our Hometown Hero(’s) Today is/are David R.
What exactly is a hero? I think the definition is different for everyone, but for me, my dad is a hero. It's truly amazing how one person can change your life, people who you take for granted every day. People can make a difference in your life, and that’s what my dad did. My dad served in the army. He went overseas for two years for our country, but in those years he taught me some very important things and one of those things was compassion. He never stopped caring about anyone. He was one of those people who you would look at and just know how big of heart they have. He would put his life on hold to do whatever I asked him to. He would drop everything he was doing just to take me to my friends’ house and every single night he would come in my room and kiss me on the head, as much as I dreaded being kissed on the head, and told me goodnight. He would support me through it all and we need more people like that. He never failed to amaze me, and from this day, he’s there for me through it all. He’s a great soldier, father, hero, and friend.

HEALTH MOMENT
New research shows chronic users of acetaminophen, a top-selling painkiller known as Tylenol are at slightly increased risk for blood cancers.
Yet the risk remains low, and it's still uncertain what role the drug plays.
The finding adds another twist to the complicated evidence linking cancer and painkillers, and hints acetaminophen might be different from the rest.
Earlier work has shown that aspirin use might lower the odds of dying from colon cancer but increase the risk of bleeding ulcers. The picture has been less clear for blood, or hematologic, cancers, however.
"Prior to this study there was very little evidence that aspirin reduces your risk of hematological cancers," said Emily White of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, who worked on the new research.
There were some suggestions that acetaminophen might increase the risk of the cancers, on the other hand, but those were based on individual cases of blood cancer.
Still, she warned, there is no proof that acetaminophen causes cancer, and the new results need to be confirmed before they are used in any treatment decision.
The new study suffers from the same limitations, in that people who use lots of painkillers could be dealing with medical problems that set them up for cancer down the road.
White said it is too soon to make any recommendations based on the new study, and that none of the painkillers is free of side effects.
"Long-term use of any over the counter drug might have adverse effects," she said. "You have to weigh the benefits against the risk of all the drugs."
BREAK TIME CHATTER
#1.) This doesn't feel like a shocker: A new study found that women are most relaxed around the house when their husband is teaming up with them to do chores. Men are just a LITTLE bit different . . . they're most relaxed when they're on the couch RELAXING, while their wife handles the chores.
#2.) So, apparently, gas prices have hit that point where they RUIN PEOPLE'S LIVES. 70% of Americans say that gas prices are causing financial hardship for their family . . . and 21% take it further and say that gas prices are having a serious negative effect on their lives. Gas right now has a nationwide average price of $3.96-a-gallon.
#3.) Exactly 39 years ago, in 1972, an 18-year-old named Don Gorske in Wisconsin ate his first Big Mac. He's eaten at least one every day since. And yesterday, on the 39th anniversary of his first one, he ate his 25,000th Big Mac. The "Guinness Book of World Records" was on hand . . . they're considering Don for the world record for Most Big Macs Eaten. And in a related story, Rolaids gave him a trophy for consuming 50,000 in that same period of time.
And I leave you with this thought…
"Love and compassion benefit both ourselves and others. Through kindness to others, your heart and mind will be peaceful and open."
