Celebrity Spotlight
Reba recently wrapped up a star-studded year on the road with her best buddies and fellow country stars George Strait and Lee Ann Womack, and reveals she’d do it all over again in a heartbeat. “I like to sing with my buddies and perform with my buddies. It was just a lot of fun. The last night, everybody was kind of sad, but happy that we had such a successful tour, and it was just a wonderful closure to a great tour. We had a great party after the show, and everybody celebrated, so it was a perfect ending to a perfect tour." Reba will sing alongside a few more famous friends when she and Rascal Flatts, Trace Adkins, Josh Turner, Little Big Town, and Chris Young all take the stage for the 2011 CMA Music Festival at LP Field in Nashville on Saturday June 11th.
RIDDLE ME THIS
You start at one spot on the Earth, and you walk five miles south, five miles east, and five miles north, and you're in the exact same spot that you started. You look to your right and see a bear. What color is it?
White. The spot you started and ended at was the North Pole. Don't believe that you would be in the same spot? Go get a globe.http://www.trickyriddles.com/random.php

Our Hometown Hero(’s) Today is/are Susie Jean
In 2002, Susie Jean was watching a television newscast at her home when she saw a horrific scene: a fleeing criminal fatally shooting a police dog. I had to do something, says Jean who was grieving over the recent loss of her two beloved German shepherds. The next day she contacted her local police department and learned that, like most police departments, it didnt have money to equip its K-9 counterparts with bullet-resistant vests, which can cost more than $700 apiece. Thats when she decided to raise the money herself. I started with donation boxes at pet store counters and veterinary offices, recalls Jean, who now lives in Socorro, N.M. Currently Susie has supplied police departments across the nation with vests since 2002. Whenever possible, Jean personally presents the vests to police officers who request them, spending her own money to make the trip. A dog goes out with no fear and does what hes been trained to do without a thought for personal danger, Jean says. My efforts are a small price to pay for our police dogs that protect their human partner as well as our communities.
Susie Jean is/are our Hometown Hero Today and we salute you.
HEALTH MOMENT
In 2011, Americans consumed 7 billion pounds of candy, according to the National Confectioner's Association—and Easter is the second most important candy-eating occasion of the year. Do you know which treats are a safe bet, and which ones you should send back with the Easter bunny?
Best: Cadbury Crème Egg
It may be a surprise this iconic creamy candy made the “best” list, but if you are going to treat yourself to sweets this Easter, the Cadbury Crème Egg can be a good option.
Worst: Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg
This peanut butter egg comes as an individually wrapped portion like the crème egg, but is not as kind to your waistline – with more than double the fat.
Best: Peeps
Peeps—they’re cute, festive, inexpensive and fat free!
Worst: Whoppers Robin Eggs
They look innocent enough, but just eight of these little eggs rack in 6 grams of fat, and 5 grams of saturated fat.
Best: Jelly Beans
like peeps, you can always look for sugar-free jelly beans.
Worst: Chocolate Bunny
It’s what everyone reaches for first in their Easter basket. It is also the motherload of all bad Easter treats.
Best: Hard-Boiled Easter Eggs
Not all Easter treats have to be sweet! The most recognizable Easter staple, the hard-boiled Easter egg, is something you can indulge on and feel good about.
BREAK TIME CHATTER
#1.) The website CareerCast.com just put out its list of the most and least stressful jobs of 2011. The most stressful was commercial airline pilots, which makes sense, since unlike air traffic controllers, they can't take naps. The least stressful job was audiologist, which is a person who diagnoses and treats hearing disorders.
#2.) Just because you're comically poor now doesn't mean it's forever. According to new data from the U.S. Treasury Department, people switch income levels a lot more than we think. About half of the taxpayers who were in the country's poorest 25% bracket between 1996 and 2005 were in a higher income bracket within 10 years. And 55% of all people change income brackets within a decade.
#3.) It's one thing for Iran to hate Americans. That's just what they do. But now, they've gone too far. Turns out, they also hate MAN'S BEST FRIEND. Lawmakers in Iran have proposed a bill that would make it ILLEGAL to own a dog because owning one, quote, "[is] a blind imitation of the vulgar culture of the West." If the bill passes, you could get jail time if you're caught with a dog . . . and it will be taken away.
#4.) Most people do everything they can to make a good impression on their future in-laws. But a woman in Montana did the opposite. Last September, she STOLE her fiancé's father's credit card and used it to run up $1,500 in charges . . . a lot of which were WEDDING EXPENSES. She just pleaded guilty to a felony charge of deceptive practices and will pay a fine and restitution.
And I leave you with this thought…
"Nobody can teach you love. Love you have to find yourself, within your being, by raising your consciousness to higher levels."
