Celebrity Spotlight
Jason Aldean’s album My Kinda Party is number one again this week on the Billboard Country Albums chart. Jason has earned ten Top-10 hits in his career and five number-one songs. This success allowed him and his wife to make their first big purchase. “’Bout a year ago we went and actually bought us a beach house. So that was like the first time we spent that kinda money on anything, you know. And of course I didn’t sleep for about six months after that. But it’s, uh, it’s all good.” Jason has taken a month off from touring this summer so he can take the family down to Florida and enjoy their new home away from home.
RIDDLE ME THIS
I always thirst, yet never hunger.
I wear a hat in the summer heat, but when the cold winds blow my head is bare.
What am I?

HEALTH MOMENT
Acid reflux," GERD is a digestive disorder that occurs when acid from the stomach backs up into the esophagus This results in a backup of acid, which irritates the esophagus and causes the main symptom of heartburn - burning pain that may be felt in the chest and/or the back of the throat. The condition will repeatedly irritate the lining of the esophagus with refluxed stomach acid. This can lead to serious complications including esophageal ulcers and even cancer of the esophagus.
More than 60 million Americans experience GERD symptoms at least once a month and about 25 million have symptoms every day. This interrupts a person's work day and his or her everyday life. While there are many over-the-counter and prescription medications that can cure acid reflux, diet can help as well.
How to prevent GERD:
* Eat small, frequent meals that are low in fat.
* Eat slowly * Sit up while eating
* Don't lie down for 1 hour after meals
* Avoid eating and drinking within two to three hours before bedtime
* Don't drink alcohol
* If you are overweight, losing weight can help improve symptoms
* If you are a smoker, quitting can also reduce outbreaks and prevent symptoms
* Wear loose fitting clothes
Problematic foods for most people who experience GERD:
* Caffeine,
* Carbonated beverages,
* Chocolate,
* Peppermint,
* Tomato and citrus fruit
* Fatty and fried foods,
* Spicy foods,
* Garlic, onions, peppers,
* Whole milk and whole fat dairy & Meat products
BREAK TIME CHATTER
When you're talking with someone on the phone, and suddenly it sounds a little more echo-y on their end, do you think . . . did they just go into the bathroom? Well . . . you should.
--In a new survey, 56% of Americans admitted to using their cell phones in the bathroom. And we say "admitted" because we STRONGLY suspect there are some people who lied.
--Of the people who take their phones to the can, 70% make calls, 62% text, 20% listen to music, 19% check Facebook and Twitter . . . and 7% actually pull up something on their phone to read.
And pretty sure that’s “TOO MUCH IMFORMATION”!! TMI Baby!
And I leave you with this thought.
"The best preparation for good work tomorrow is to do good work today."
