Celebrity Spotlight

JOSH KELLEY SAYS THERE’S SECRETS TO BE TOLD IN GEORGIA CLAY. Josh Kelley sees his first country album released tomorrow. Georgia Clay is the Augusta, Georgia native’s debut into the country world. The title cut of the album takes Josh back to his dad’s old truck and the stories it would tell, if it could. “It would’ve seen my first kiss. It would’ve seen me, um… siphon gas out of my buddy’s wave runner so I could make it back home in that truck. You know, I mean it would’ve seen all these different things, you know. It would’ve seen me buy beer with a fake ID. Well, actually I didn’t need a fake ID, I had a beard.” Josh will play music from Georgia Clay as he continues on the road with Miranda Lambert’s The Revolution Continues tour and later this fall when he joins the North American leg of Taylor Swift’s Speak Now World Tour 2011.

RIDDLE ME THIS

A man takes a barrel that weighs 20 pounds, and then puts something in it. It now weighs less than 20 pounds. What did he put in the barrel?

He put a hole in the barrel to make it weigh less.

This Is Nuts

Even though the U.N.-backed strikes against Moammar Quaddafi's air force seem to be helping the rebels recover, President Obama is taking flak from across the political spectrum. Congressional Republicans say the mission is undefined and not paid for. Democrats are furious that Obama has gotten us into a third Middle Eastern military action without asking Congress, and quoted his own words from 2007 that the President has no Constitutional power to unilaterally authorize an attack on a nation that's not threatening America. And leftwing activists are up in arms, with Ralph Nader calling for Obama's impeachment for war crimes and Michael Moore demanding that he return his Nobel Peace Prize.

* So the mission is undefined and we can't pay for it! That didn't stop Congress from passing Obamacare!

HEALTH MOMENT

Kids should sit in rear-facing car seats as long as they fit, or until age two, pediatricians urged Monday.
After that, they should ride in booster seats up to age eight or if they're still too small to fit correctly in seat belts.
"The best possible thing you can do is keep your child rear-facing as long as possible," said Dr. Benjamin Hoffman of the American Academy of Pediatrics, which issued the policy statement. "We hope we will be able to convince parents to keep their children rear-facing longer."
Specifically, the AAP recommends:
* Infants should ride in rear-facing car safety seats until age two or until they reach the height and weight limits specified by the manufacturer.
* After that, they should ride in forward-facing car seats with a harness until age four or until they have outgrown the seat.
* Then they should be switched to a belt-positioning booster seat until they can use the seatbelt alone (typically between eight and 12 years, or when they've reached 4 feet 9 inches).
* Kids who are big enough to use the seatbelt alone should sit in the rear of the car until age 13.

BREAK TIME CHATTER

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reports a steady rise in the number of men seeking cosmetic remodeling. Last year, facelifts for men were up 14 percent, liposuctions up 7 percent and breast reductions up 6 percent. Overall, 1.1 million procedures were done on men in 2010. And while women tend to opt for minimally invasive treatments like Botox, men are more likely to get procedures requiring surgery, like nose reshaping and ear trimming. Some doctors believe baby boomer men are trying to look younger because they think it will help them land jobs.

* Actually, they're just trying to attract women who are too young to need Botox.the year?

And I leave you with this thought.

"Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts."
