Celebrity Spotlight

RASCAL FLATTS WEIGH IN ON LATE NIGHT HOST DRAMA. Jay DeMarcus Rascal Flatts talked with CMT Radio Live’s Cody Alan recently and had a lot to say about the Jay Leno and Conan Obrien. He feels for all parties involved and says it’s hard to see Jay go through all of this once again. (Cut #8) “Even when he got the gig in the early nineties, I know that there was a rift between him and Letterman, because Letterman was supposed to have gotten it supposively. But it’s just unfortunate it had to be played out in the public eye, you know instead of something that should have been a private matter. I think they are better things ahead for Conan.” Jay says the trio has appeared on all of the most recent late night shows and has had a blast on all of them.

The workshop will feature a continental breakfast, box lunches, a keynote speaker and three breakout sessions. There will be no cost for teachers to attend this workshop, however registration is required and space is limited.

RIDDLE ME THIS

With pointed fangs it sits in wait,
With piercing force its doles out fate,
Over bloodless victims proclaiming its might,
Eternally joining in a single bite.
What am I?

I'm a Stapler!

HOMETOWN HERO’S

HOMETOWN HERO’S are people who serve other people, their community, and take pride in honoring, restoring, preserving, or celebrating an aspect of American hometown life, be it their work, passion, or pastime.
Thus, the truest meaning of “HOMETOWN HERO ” is people protecting, defending, caring for or serving others.
With that as the background, WHO is a “HOMETOWN HERO ” in your life or the life of others ? Some of the greatest “HOMETOWN HERO’S ” in our lives are unknown to the outside world and garner very little, if any, attention.

This Is Nuts

Showing a shift in direction since the Massachusetts election loss, President Obama plans to spend his State of the Union Address talking about the economy and job creation, and to propose a bipartisan panel to research ways to reduce the deficit. However, their report would not be issued until after the November election.
• A lot of current Congressmen have suddenly become a lot more interested in new job creation.

BREAK TIME CHATTER

Police in Polk County, Florida, were investigating the theft of a 1998 Dodge Durango SUV when they found it outside a local home. They went inside and arrested the resident, who was out of jail on bond on a grand theft auto charge. When they caught him, he was playing the video game, "Grand Theft Auto."
• And not surprisingly, losing.

And I leave you with this thought.
"In daily life we must see that it is not happiness that makes us grateful, but gratefulness that makes us happy."
