JOSH TURNER EXCITED ABOUT NEW YEAR. Josh Turner took some time off in 2009 for his health and to focus on his upcoming album, Haywire. But he’s back with new music and can’t wait to hit the road again. (Cut #3) “2010 is shaping up to be a good year. We’ve got a lot of dates booked, we’ve got two and half weeks booked out west for the first part of the year right around the times we put the album out, and we’ve got quite a few dates being booked in the summer time too. I’m just looking forward to getting back out on the road, seeing my fans, performing a lot of material from the new album and seeing what people think of the new album, and just continuing to prove upon what we’ve done.” Check out Josh’s video for the first release from Haywire, “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” now at CMT.com.

HOMETOWN HERO’S

HOMETOWN HERO’S are people who serve other people, their community, and take pride in honoring, restoring, preserving, or celebrating an aspect of American hometown life, be it their work, passion, or pastime.
Thus, the truest meaning of “HOMETOWN HERO ” is people protecting, defending, caring for or serving others.
With that as the background, WHO is a “HOMETOWN HERO ” in your life or the life of others ? Some of the greatest “HOMETOWN HERO’S ” in our lives are unknown to the outside world and garner very little, if any, attention.
James Gunn Is Our Hometown Hero Today
One of the founders of New Mexico’s Apache Point Observatory and a driving force behind the Sloan Digital Sky Survey recently received a presidential award. President Barack Obama awarded James Gunn with the National Medal of Science for his work with the Sloan Digital Sky Survey at a ceremony at the White House on Oct. 7. Apache Point is located in the Sacramento Mountains, about 20 miles south of Cloudcroft, N.M., and is within the Lincoln National Forest.

This Is Nuts

After the Democrats' shocking loss in the Massachusetts Senate race, President Obama admitted that he'd focused too much on policy meetings and gotten out of touch with the American people. He reportedly asked Congressional Democrats not to try to force through the giant, unpopular health care bill and instead rally around things that everyone agrees on.

HEALTH MOMENT

Migraine Headaches normally occurs on one side of the head. Migraine is associated with disorders of digestion, liver, and sight. Migraine headaches occur sometimes due to great mental tension and stress. Migraine headache patients are typically smart, inflexible, disciplined. Sudden migraine attacks may occur due to overworked muscles in the head and neck and due to continuous stress. The blood flow drops because these tight muscles squeeze the arteries. When the person suddenly relaxes these tight muscles expand and stretch the blood vessel walls. The blood pumped with each heartbeat then pushes the vessels further causing immense pain.

BREAK TIME CHATTER

Police in Kingston, Pennsylvania, arrested two men who allegedly tried to deliver 50 bags of cocaine to a house that was within 1,000 feet of at least two schools. Their names are Carlos Laurel and Andre "Sug" Hardy. Laurel and Hardy are facing a long list of charges. Hardy was also allegedly carrying cash, a cell phone and 10 bags of marijuana in his waistband.
* They were captured after a long chase by the Kingston Kops.

And I leave you with this thought.
"We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations."
