HOMETOWN HERO’S are people who serve other people, their community, and take pride in honoring, restoring, preserving, or celebrating an aspect of American hometown life, be it their work, passion, or pastime.
Thus, the truest meaning of “HOMETOWN HERO ” is people protecting, defending, caring for or serving others.
With that as the background, WHO is a “HOMETOWN HERO ” in your life or the life of others ? Some of the greatest “HOMETOWN HERO’S ” in our lives are unknown to the outside world and garner very little, if any, attention.

Today is the Senate race to fill Ted Kennedy's Massachusetts Senate seat, and with Republican Scott Brown surprisingly ahead in the polls, the rhetoric has gotten overheated. MSNBC's Keith Olbermann ranted that Brown is "an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees."
* Imagine replacing Ted Kennedy with an irresponsible guy who mistreats women.
HEALTH MOMENT
Lice infestation, also known as pediculosis is a common human problem. There are three types of lice – head lice, body lice and pubic lice that infest humans. Lifecycle of lice has three forms – nit, lymph and adult lice. Life of lice is about 30 days. Lice will die if they stay away from human body for more than two days.
Head lice are found behind the ears and near the neck. They may cause itching, crusting, and redness on scalp. Sometimes head lice do not show any symptoms. Repeated scratching of lice bites may cause skin infections. These infections may lead to swollen nodes resulting into lumps on the neck and behind the ears.
So how do you get rid of these little buggers?
For head lice problem wash your hair with vinegar. It will kill all the nits in two days. Apply coconut oil to your head after shampoo and condition. Add ten to fifteen drops of tea tree oil into shampoo bottle and use it daily. Rub listerine mouth wash on your head. This will kill all the lice. Massage your head with mayonnaise and comb it after 2 hours. This will kill all the lice and their eggs. Apply a mixture of lemon and butter on your head, wait for 15 seconds and then rinse your head.

Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chairman Chris Van Hollen, in trying to keep Republican Scott Brown from replacing Ted Kennedy, said, "Why would you hand the keys to the car back to the same guys whose policies drove the economy into the ditch and then walked away from the scene of the accident?"
* If that's what he did, he's PERFECT to replace Ted Kennedy.
