Celebrity Spotlight

Dierks Bentley is kicking off 2010 by taking a break from touring. He has essentially been on the road since his music career took off and he hopes to spend the beginning of this year working on two new albums. (Cut #2) “I’ve always wanted to do something in the bluegrass world just to get it out of the system. And every record I’ve recorded has always had a bluegrass song on there and I know a lot of people in that community and its one of my big passions and so I’m doing that as well as working on my next country record, so… Yeah, it’s just great to be home, off the road a little bit, catch up for a little bit before we go back out there.” Just because Dierks is taking more time off to be in the studio doesn’t mean tour dates have been cut out altogether. According to his official website, he has stops scheduled for this month, February, March and June.

HOMETOWN HERO’S

HOMETOWN HERO’S are people who serve other people, their community, and take pride in honoring, restoring, preserving, or celebrating an aspect of American hometown life, be it their work, passion, or pastime.
Thus, the truest meaning of “HOMETOWN HERO ” is people protecting, defending, caring for or serving others.
With that as the background, WHO is a “HOMETOWN HERO ” in your life or the life of others ? Some of the greatest “HOMETOWN HERO’S ” in our lives are unknown to the outside world and garner very little, if any, attention.

This Is Nuts

There were so many bombings over the past week that people are getting seriously spooked. Friday night, a Delta flight from Detroit was diverted to Nashville and evacuated after someone found a suspicious package that turned out to contain a Christmas ornament. A Delta spokesman said they weren’t sure who found the package or why they thought it was suspicious, and admitted that the flight was diverted out of an abundance of caution.

* On the plus side, the passengers were made safer just by getting them out of Detroit.

HEALTH MOMENT

Home remedy for Acne
Acne treatment (naturally at home or otherwise) is the most sought after treatment among the younger generation. Acne is a common and chronic skin disorder. It is an inflammatory condition of the sebaceous glands and hair follicles. The lesions are usually found on the skin of the face, neck, chest and shoulders. BREAK TIME CHATTER

Friday in Denmark, a Somali Muslim broke into the home of a cartoonist who drew one of the notorious editorial cartoons that linked Mohammed to violence. He was reportedly waving an ax and had come to kill the cartoonist. But the cartoonist was prepared for the threats and barricaded himself in a safe room until the police arrived.

* The cartoonist got the safe room from the Acme Company, so he’s lucky the door didn’t explode.

And I leave you with this thought.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
